SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Judith A. Klestinski of Springfield, who passed away on July 26, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Judith Klestinski was born on March 12, 1949, in Springfield; her parents were Wilford and Priscilla Sanders; she married David Klestinski on June 9, 1973, in Rantoul; and

WHEREAS, Judith Klestinski earned her bachelor's degree in special education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and her master's degree in special education from the University of Illinois in Urbana; and

WHEREAS, Judith Klestinski was employed as a special education teacher with Rantoul City Schools; she was selected to be the special education consultant for all K-8 schools in Rantoul in a pilot program in the early 1980s; and

WHEREAS, Judith Klestinski was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harry Lee Sanders; and

WHEREAS, Judith Klestinski is survived by her husband; her daughter, Sarah Jastrzebski; her son, Jonathan (Anitra) Klestinski; her two grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Barbara Sanders; and her many other relatives; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Judith A. Klestinski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Judith Klestinski as an expression of our sympathy.
