SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Martha Carolyn Lynn Warfield; and

WHEREAS, Martha Warfield was 1 of 11 children born to William Ross and Estella Lynn in Saint Louis, Missouri; she attended public schools in Saint Louis and graduated from Sumner High School in 1946; she married Earl Williams, Sr. and attended Tucker Business School and worked at Barnes Hospital in the surgical department; she worked for the Comprehensive Mental Health Center in East Saint Louis for 18 years; and

WHEREAS, Martha Warfield married James E. Warfield, Sr. on September 23, 1966; she attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the East Saint Louis Lioness Club; and

WHEREAS, Martha Warfield is survived by her sister, Marcena; her husband, James Sr.; her children, Earl Jr., Carolyn, Sandra, James Jr. (Wyvonia), and Diane; her 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Martha Warfield, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martha Warfield as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
