SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Martha Carolyn Lynn Warfield;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Martha Warfield was 1 of 11 children born to
6William Ross and Estella Lynn in Saint Louis, Missouri; she
7attended public schools in Saint Louis and graduated from
8Sumner High School in 1946; she married Earl Williams, Sr. and
9attended Tucker Business School and worked at Barnes Hospital
10in the surgical department; she worked for the Comprehensive
11Mental Health Center in East Saint Louis for 18 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Martha Warfield married James E. Warfield, Sr. on
13September 23, 1966; she attended Trinity United Methodist
14Church and was a charter member of the East Saint Louis Lioness
15Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Martha Warfield is survived by her sister,
17Marcena; her husband, James Sr.; her children, Earl Jr.,
18Carolyn, Sandra, James Jr. (Wyvonia), and Diane; her 6
19grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
20nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Martha Warfield, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Martha Warfield as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
