SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel "Dan" K. Majeski of Erie, who passed away on March 5, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Dan Majeski was born to Larry and A. Joan (Davis) Majeski in Morrison on August 15, 1955; he graduated from Erie High School in 1973 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Dan Majeski became an owner/operator truck driver; he eventually went to work for Standard Forwarding, where he accumulated 26 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Dan Majeski enjoyed going to Las Vegas with his wife; he was a fisherman and especially liked fishing in Northern Minnesota; he was an avid NASCAR fan; he also enjoyed scuba diving and had his Open Water Diver Certification; he loved visiting with his family and friends and held a special place in his heart for the many dogs he had through the years; and

WHEREAS, Dan Majeski was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfathers, Jim Floyd and Kennard Hoerler; his father-in-law, Greek Null; and his sister in infancy; and

WHEREAS, Dan Majeski is survived by his wife, Susan; his three children, Audrey Majeski (Ronnie Baker), Logan (Emily) Majeski, and Victoria (Ryan) Blasdell; his bonus mom, Pat Majeski; his brothers, Tim (Bernadette) Hoerler, Darin (Evelyn) Hoerler, Troy Majeski, Darren (Dawn) Majeski, and Greg (Barb) Majeski; his sister, Lori (Tim) Smith; his grandchildren, Alivia, Gavin, and Jaxson Baker, Lindy Majeski, and Emersyn and Emilia Blasdell; his aunts and uncles; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Daniel "Dan" Majeski and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dan Majeski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
