SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the passing of Kathyrn Fox of Aurora on November 22, 2006; and

WHEREAS, She was born on October 25, 1936 to Andrew and Eleanor (Donovan) Heitkotter; she graduated from West Aurora High School in 1954, from the University of Illinois in 1958, and received her Master's Degree in Education in 1976; she taught at Franklin Middle School from 1959-1981 and Washington Middle School until her retirement in 2001; she was united in marriage to Frank Fox for 43 years; and

WHEREAS, While at Washington Middle School, she was in charge of the student council and for eight years was the head coach of the West Aurora High School girls bowling team; while at Franklin Middle School she coached the oratorical contest for the Optimist Clubs of Aurora; and

WHEREAS, She was a lifetime member of Aurora Junior Women's Club where she directed their local children's play for 30 years; she was also a member of Aurora Association of University Women, Financial Fox Investment Club, and National Education Association; and

WHEREAS, Since Kathryn's passing, her sister, Mary Richards passed away on January 9, 2007; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Kathryn Fox has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Frank; her daughter, Karen (Jim) Bozarth; her nieces and nephews, Becky (Walter) Thompson, Tom (Kathy) Richards, Debbie (Carl) Angello, Robin Kramer, Mimi (Jeff) Steinwart, Chip (Stefane) Richards, Amy Richards; her several other nieces and nephews; her great-nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dear friend, Ernie Rowcliffe; she was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ann H. Joel; and her maternal and paternal grandparents; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kathryn Fox, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kathryn Fox as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
