SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 were saddened to learn of the passing of Kathyrn Fox of Aurora
4 on November 22, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on October 25, 1936 to Andrew and
6 Eleanor (Donovan) Heitkotter; she graduated from West Aurora
7 High School in 1954, from the University of Illinois in 1958,
8 and received her Master's Degree in Education in 1976; she
9 taught at Franklin Middle School from 1959-1981 and Washington
10 Middle School until her retirement in 2001; she was united in
11 marriage to Frank Fox for 43 years; and
 
12     WHEREAS, While at Washington Middle School, she was in
13 charge of the student council and for eight years was the head
14 coach of the West Aurora High School girls bowling team; while
15 at Franklin Middle School she coached the oratorical contest
16 for the Optimist Clubs of Aurora; and
 
17     WHEREAS, She was a lifetime member of Aurora Junior Women's
18 Club where she directed their local children's play for 30
19 years; she was also a member of Aurora Association of
20 University Women, Financial Fox Investment Club, and National
21 Education Association; and

1     WHEREAS, Since Kathryn's passing, her sister, Mary
2 Richards passed away on January 9, 2007; and
 
3     WHEREAS, The passing of Kathryn Fox has been deeply felt by
4 many, especially her husband, Frank; her daughter, Karen (Jim)
5 Bozarth; her nieces and nephews, Becky (Walter) Thompson, Tom
6 (Kathy) Richards, Debbie (Carl) Angello, Robin Kramer, Mimi
7 (Jeff) Steinwart, Chip (Stefane) Richards, Amy Richards; her
8 several other nieces and nephews; her great-nieces, nephews,
9 and cousins; and her dear friend, Ernie Rowcliffe; she was
10 preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ann H. Joel; and
11 her maternal and paternal grandparents; therefore, be it
 
12     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14 Kathryn Fox, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
15 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16 further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the family of Kathryn Fox as an expression of our
19 deepest sympathy.
