770 ILCS 60/6

Amends the Mechanics Lien Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning completion of contracts.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT in relation to liens.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mechanics Lien Act is amended by changing Section 6 as follows:

(770 ILCS 60/6) (from Ch. 82, par. 6)

Sec. 6. In no event shall it be necessary to fix or stipulate in any contract a time for the completion or a time for payment in order to obtain a lien under this act, provided, that the work is done or material furnished within 3 three years from the commencement of said work or the commencement of furnishing said material.
