SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jennifer Susanne Everett of Washington, who passed away on November 13, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett was born in Peoria to Mike and Ginny Everett on May 10, 1979; she graduated from Bradley University in Peoria with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett committed her life to serving children and adults, some with additional needs, alongside the global non-profit, One Collective; she spent nearly three years in Uzhhorod, Ukraine and was most recently serving in Cowley, England; her mission was to see a world where no one is invisible and where everyone has access to food, freedom, and forgiveness; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett was deeply committed to her faith; she loved immensely and cared for others in the most profound way; she positively impacted many lives; she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues and remembered for her servant heart, her smile, and her incredible passion; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett was preceded in death by an infant son, Benjamin Michael; her paternal grandfather, Marvin Everett; and her maternal grandparents, Richard and Vivian Doversberger; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Everett is survived by her parents; her sister, Lacey Everett; her brother-in-law, Matthew Everett; her niece, Ellie Everett; her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Everett; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jennifer Susanne Everett and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jennifer Everett as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
