SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of April Danielle Brazier Green of Chicago, who passed away on September 19, 2019; and

WHEREAS, April Brazier Green was born to Dr. Byron T. Brazier and Evangelist Mary Brazier on August 19, 1968; she attended World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, April Brazier Green became a home health care provider in Texas, caring for those that were physically and/or mentally challenged; she later became an entrepreneur and started her own business, K.I.C. (Keeping It Cute) with April B, as a hair technician; and

WHEREAS, April Brazier Green moved back to Chicago to be with her parents, her brother Byron T. Brazier Jr., and her church family; she wanted to enter the Systematic Ministry Process offered at Apostolic Church of God in order to answer her calling and go into ministry; and

WHEREAS, April Brazier Green was deeply committed to her faith; she was passionate about caring for others and cooking; she was known for being adventurous, charismatic, smart, and having a beautiful singing voice; and

WHEREAS, April Brazier Green is survived by her husband, Andre Green; her parents; her children, Dante James, Shante James, Breyana Patterson, Jemari Colyar, and Mariyah Patterson; her grandchildren, D'niyah, Paris, Nasir, Quran, London, A'brealle, Breion, and Londyn; her sister, Jacqueline Johnson; her brothers, Byron T. Brazier Jr. and Andre Wojtusik; and her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of April Danielle Brazier Green and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of April Brazier Green as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
