SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dennis R. Bush of Rock Island, who passed away on December 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bush was born in Rock Island to Walter R. and Shirley C. (Tacey) Bush on April 28, 1943; he graduated from Alleman High School in 1961 and served his country in the U.S. Army; he married Diana Burns in Milan on October 2, 1981; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bush worked as a farmer and owned Bush Electric; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bush was an avid sportsman and enjoyed snowmobiling, riding ATVs, and watching sports; he also enjoyed NASCAR, traveling, and mowing his lawn; he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears and a member of the Namakagon Trail Groomers Club; he looked forward to the Wednesday morning breakfast club at Two Sisters Restaurant in Milan (The Scamper Inn in earlier years); he was very proud of his family and spent two years caring for his special-needs granddaughter, Alayna; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bush was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Beth; and his grandson, Drake DeKeyrel; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bush is survived by his wife, Diana; his daughters, Angela (Dana) DeKeyrel and Annette (Mike) Epperly; his grandchildren, Lexi, Doug, and Alayna DeKeyrel and Audrey and Will Epperly; and his siblings, Darrel (Teresa) and Bruce (Mary) Bush; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dennis R. Bush and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dennis Bush as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
