SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Scott A. Heydt of Colona, who passed away on June 15, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Scott Heydt was born in Niceville, Florida to Harold Paul and Margie Louise (Mozingo) Heydt on October 3, 1959; he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps; he married Deanna Harrison in East Moline on August 25, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Scott Heydt enjoyed his time as a carpenter; and

WHEREAS, Scott Heydt had a love of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and NASCAR; he was a collector of a variety of things; he never hesitated to help someone in need, and family was the most important to him; and

WHEREAS, Scott Heydt was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mark; and

WHEREAS, Scott Heydt is survived by his wife, Deanna; his son, Austin Heydt; his stepchildren, Patrick (Chase) Harrison, Cassie (Drew) Wise, and Stephan (Amanda) Abbott; his grandsons, Konnor and Lucas; his siblings, Mike Heydt, Eric Heydt, and Chris McCulley; his sister-in-law, Karen Heydt; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Scott A. Heydt and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Scott Heydt as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
