| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gladys L. Hopping of Bloomington, who | 4 | | passed away on May 25, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gladys Hopping was born in Lincoln to Samuel and | 6 | | Louise Dorris Anderson on November 22, 1934; she married Robert | 7 | | "Bob" Hopping in Springfield on June 16, 1957; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Gladys Hopping worked in sales at Provident | 9 | | Bookstore in Bloomington for many years; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Gladys Hopping was a member of Eastview Christian | 11 | | Church in Bloomington for over 55 years; she enjoyed spending | 12 | | time with her family, traveling, reading, cooking, and | 13 | | gardening; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Gladys Hopping was preceded in death by her | 15 | | sister, Mildred Ellis; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Gladys Hopping is survived by her husband, Bob; | 17 | | her children, Mark (Lori) Hopping and Carol (Jim) | 18 | | Hopping-Smith; her grandchildren, Katie (John) Flynn, Laura | 19 | | (Bob) Caveny, David Hopping, Ashley Smith, and Emiley Smith; | 20 | | her great-grandchildren, Lola and Collin Flynn; her sister, |
