SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Steven L. Ericson of Rock Island, who passed away on November 24, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was born in Kewanee to Clayton and Doris (White) Ericson on December 4, 1952; he served in the U.S. Army and married Denise Wilson in Coal Valley on June 5, 1976; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ericson retired from Sears Manufacturing as a welder; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was a member of the Calvary Church in the Quad Cities; he loved family gatherings, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, coaching his children's teams, fishing, and bowling; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; his father and stepmother, Clayton and Nellie; his brother, Dennis Ericson; his sister, Glenda Nimrick; and his stepsisters, Louise Orr and Mary Lou Weir; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ericson is survived by his wife, Denise; his children, Amber Ericson and David (Amanda) Ericson; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Bryce, and Brooklynn; his stepsiblings, Joann Barns, Shirley Frazen, and Ronald VanWassenhov; his special niece, Erica Thornton (Art Durbin); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Steven L. Ericson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steven Ericson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
