SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Steven L. Ericson of Rock Island, who
4passed away on November 24, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was born in Kewanee to Clayton and
6Doris (White) Ericson on December 4, 1952; he served in the
7U.S. Army and married Denise Wilson in Coal Valley on June 5,
81976; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Steven Ericson retired from Sears Manufacturing
10as a welder; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was a member of the Calvary Church
12in the Quad Cities; he loved family gatherings, attending his
13grandchildren's sporting events, coaching his children's
14teams, fishing, and bowling; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Steven Ericson was preceded in death by his
16mother, Doris; his father and stepmother, Clayton and Nellie;
17his brother, Dennis Ericson; his sister, Glenda Nimrick; and
18his stepsisters, Louise Orr and Mary Lou Weir; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Steven Ericson is survived by his wife, Denise;
20his children, Amber Ericson and David (Amanda) Ericson; his

1grandchildren, Kennedy, Bryce, and Brooklynn; his
2stepsiblings, Joann Barns, Shirley Frazen, and Ronald
3VanWassenhov; his special niece, Erica Thornton (Art Durbin);
4and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Steven L. Ericson and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Steven Ericson as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
