SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James W. "Jim" Woodward of Normal, who passed away on April 26, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was born in Streator to William James and Mary Ann Harcar Woodward on September 13, 1971; he married Kjersten Sylling in Dwight on November 16, 1996; he graduated from Illinois Valley Community College; and

WHEREAS, Jim Woodward worked as the administrator at Central Illinois Orthopedic Surgeons; and

WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was known as a staunch Republican; he enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing practical jokes, and making others laugh; he especially enjoyed watching and supporting his son's sports teams; most of all, he loved having fun and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was preceded in death by his father, Williams James Woodward; and

WHEREAS, Jim Woodward is survived by his wife, Kjersten Woodward; his son, John Woodward; his mother, Mary Ann Woodward; his mother-in-law, Peggy (Ken) Drake; and his special family members, Pam Vigna, Dale Vigna, Brianna Schreiner, Chris Schreiner, Logan Schreiner, Brooklyn Schreiner, and Cal Vigna; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James W. "Jim" Woodward and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Woodward as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
