SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James W. "Jim" Woodward of Normal, who
4passed away on April 26, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was born in Streator to William James
6and Mary Ann Harcar Woodward on September 13, 1971; he married
7Kjersten Sylling in Dwight on November 16, 1996; he graduated
8from Illinois Valley Community College; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jim Woodward worked as the administrator at
10Central Illinois Orthopedic Surgeons; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was known as a staunch Republican; he
12enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing practical jokes, and making
13others laugh; he especially enjoyed watching and supporting his
14son's sports teams; most of all, he loved having fun and
15spending time with his family and friends; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Woodward was preceded in death by his father,
17Williams James Woodward; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jim Woodward is survived by his wife, Kjersten
19Woodward; his son, John Woodward; his mother, Mary Ann
20Woodward; his mother-in-law, Peggy (Ken) Drake; and his special

1family members, Pam Vigna, Dale Vigna, Brianna Schreiner, Chris
2Schreiner, Logan Schreiner, Brooklyn Schreiner, and Cal Vigna;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6James W. "Jim" Woodward and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of James Woodward as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
