Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Police Training Act. Requires full-time and part-time police officers to be licensed rather than certified. Makes related changes. Provides that the Board has the power to require local governmental units to furnish personnel rosters, employment status reports, and annual training plans to the Board. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:
50 ILCS 705/7from Ch. 85, par. 507

Deletes everything. Reinserts the provisions of the bill as introduced. Amends the Illinois Police Training Act. Requires full-time and part-time police officers to be licensed rather than certified. Makes related changes. Provides for the revocation of the license of full-time and part-time police officers under certain circumstances. Deletes provisions that prohibit construing certain provisions to mean that certain law enforcement officers require certification. Deletes provisions that a person hired as a part-time police officer during specified time periods must obtain a license or certificate. Effective immediately.
