SMITH,MICHAEL. 730 ILCS 5/5-5-3 from Ch. 38, par. 1005-5-3 Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. In provisions concerning dispositions for persons convicted of an offense, provides that moneys paid to a public agency as restitution for the costs of an emergency response in connection with a DUI offense shall be used to purchase law enforcement equipment that will assist in the prevention of alcohol-related criminal violence throughout the State.
