91_SB0850enr SB850 Enrolled SRS91S0023JDch 1 AN ACT to amend the Hospital Licensing Act by adding 2 Section 6.01. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by 6 adding Section 6.01 as follows: 7 (210 ILCS 85/6.01 new) 8 Sec. 6.01. Domestic violence. A hospital licensed under 9 this Act must comply with the standards relating to domestic 10 violence established by the Department. In establishing 11 these standards, the Department shall take into consideration 12 similar standards adopted by the Joint Commission on Health 13 Care Accreditation or other accrediting organization. 14 Nothing in this Section requires a hospital to become 15 accredited by the Joint Commission on Health Care 16 Accreditation or any other accreditation program.
