1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 850
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 850 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Hospital Licensing Act by adding
5 Section 6.01."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by
9 adding Section 6.01 as follows:
10 (210 ILCS 85/6.01 new)
11 Sec. 6.01. Domestic violence. A hospital licensed under
12 this Act must comply with the standards relating to domestic
13 violence established by the Department. In establishing
14 these standards, the Department shall take into consideration
15 similar standards adopted by the Joint Commission on Health
16 Care Accreditation or other accrediting organization.
17 Nothing in this Section requires a hospital to become
18 accredited by the Joint Commission on Health Care
19 Accreditation or any other accreditation program.".
