 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 369

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 369  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The  following amounts, or so much of those
 5    amounts as may be necessary, respectively,  are  appropriated
 6    to  the  State  Board  of  Elections  for  its  ordinary  and
 7    contingent expenses as follows:

 8        Compensation for Additional Duties required
 9        of such officials by consolidation of
10        elections law, as provided in Public Acts

12    For Payment to Election Authorities for expenses
13        in supplying voter registration tapes to the
14        State Board of Elections pursuant to

17        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
18    1, 1999.".
