 1        AN  ACT to amend the Naprapathic Practice Act by changing
 2    Section 65.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  Naprapathic Practice Act is amended by
 6    changing Section 65 as follows:

 7        (225 ILCS 63/65)
 8        Sec. 65.  Licensure  without  examination.   For  the  36
 9    months beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act
10    of the 91st General Assembly 1995, the Department may grant a
11    license as a naprapath, upon review of the application, to an
12    applicant  who  practices  naprapathy  and  who  can document
13    employment as a naprapath and has received  remuneration  for
14    practicing  naprapathy  prior to for at least 10 years before
15    the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 91st General
16    Assembly 1995, if that person submits an application and pays
17    the necessary fees.  The applicant must  verify  meeting  the
18    educational  qualifications  contained  in this Act and shall
19    demonstrate maintenance of clinical skills.  This may require
20    a  personal  appearance  before  the   Examining   Committee,
21    successful   completion  of  the  licensing  examination,  or
22    documentation of attendance at  relevant  clinical  education
23    programs for the past 5 years.

25        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
26    becoming law.
