 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 427

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 427 on page 5, line
 3    2, by changing "of Public Health" to "on Aging"; and

 4    on page 5, line 3, by changing "Public  Health"  to  "Aging";
 5    and

 6    on page 7 by replacing lines 7 through 9 with the following:
 7    "representative.    This   designation  may  be  accomplished
 8    through the Illinois Power of Attorney Act, pursuant  to  the
 9    guardianship  process  under  the  Probate  Act  of  1975, or
10    pursuant to an executed designation of representative form.";
11    and

12    on  page  9  by  replacing  lines  30  through  32  with  the
13    following:
14    "include, at a minimum, compliance with the residential board
15    and care occupancies chapter of the National Fire  Protection
16    Association's  Life  Safety  Code,  local  and State building
17    codes for the building"; and

18    on page 23, line 28, by changing "(12)" to "(15)"; and

19    on page  24  by  replacing  lines  17  through  20  with  the
20    following:
21        "(h)  For  the  purposes  of  items  (7)  through (11) of

 1    subsection (c), a licensed health care professional  may  not
 2    be  employed  by  the  establishment.   An  agency  or entity
 3    employing licensed health care professionals that has  common
 4    ownership  with an establishment shall not exclusively market
 5    services to that establishment.  Nothing in this  Section  is
 6    meant to limit a resident's right to choose his or her health
 7    care provider."; and

 8    on page 25 by replacing line 30 with the following:
 9    "emergency  situations  as defined in Section 10 of this Act,
10    the requirements of this subsection may"; and

11    on page 33 by replacing line 16 with the following:
12        "Public Health, Public Aid, and Human Services,"; and

13    on page 36 by replacing line 21 with the following:
14        "subsections (b) through (g) of Section 75 of this Act.".
