Information maintained by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

225 ILCS 37/80

    (225 ILCS 37/80)
(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2029)
Sec. 80. Recommendations for disciplinary action. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall present to the Secretary a written report of its findings and recommendations. The report shall contain a finding whether or not the licensee violated this Act or failed to comply with the conditions required in this Act. The Board shall specify the nature of the violation or failure to comply and shall make its recommendations to the Secretary.
The report of findings, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the Board shall be the basis for the Department's order for refusal to issue or for the granting of a license or for any disciplinary action. If the Secretary disagrees with the recommendation of the Board, the Secretary may issue an order in contravention of the Board's report. The finding is not admissible in evidence against the person in a criminal prosecution brought for violation of this Act, but the hearing and findings are not a bar to criminal prosecution brought for violation of this Act.
