HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Teresa Ann Hubka, D.O. of Chicago on the occasion of her being named national president of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); and

WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka's successful election as the 128th national president marks the first time an Illinois doctor will serve as president of the AOA; she will also be the first OB-GYN and only the second woman in the organization's history to serve in this position; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka is the founder and director of her own practice specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health, providing complete health services to women of all ages; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in women's health, and she is passionate about educating patients, nurses, students, and physicians; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka will be sworn in as national president of the AOA on June 20, 2024; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Teresa Ann Hubka, D.O. on being named national president of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Dr. Hubka and the AOA as an expression of our esteem and respect.
