| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William D. "Bill" Sexton of Bloomington, | 4 | | who passed away on October 4, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Sexton was born in Mohegan, West Virginia to | 6 | | John Foster and Susie Katheline (Perry) Sexton on August 3, | 7 | | 1932; he served in the United States Army in Korea and married | 8 | | Virginia Sue Hatfield in Tazewell, Virginia on July 12, 1952; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Sexton worked in the trucking industry before | 11 | | starting his own business, Sexton's Pack & Load, which he ran | 12 | | until his retirement in 2012; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Sexton enjoyed the outdoors, especially | 14 | | boating, hunting, and fishing, and spending time with his | 15 | | family; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Bill Sexton was preceded in death by his parents; | 17 | | four brothers; six sisters; his sons, William Anthony "Tony" | 18 | | Sexton and Gary Don Sexton; and his grandson, Travis Peak; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bill Sexton is survived by his wife of 68 years, | 20 | | Virginia; his daughter, Sandra (Carl) Swift; his sister, Betty |
