SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 835/3b new
    Amends the State Parks Act. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources may establish rules for the public to safely and appropriately scatter cremated remains in a State park. Defines "cremated remains."

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The State Parks Act is amended by adding Section
5 3b as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 835/3b new)
7     Sec. 3b. Scattering of cremated remains.The Department may
8 establish rules for the public to safely and appropriately
9 scatter cremated remains in a State park. For the purposes of
10 this Section, "cremated remains" as the same meaning ascribed
11 to it in Section 5 of the Crematory Regulation Act.
