SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

415 ILCS 97/55

Amends the Mercury Switch Removal Act. Changes the Act's repeal date from January 1, 2027 to January 1, 2022. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning safety.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mercury Switch Removal Act is amended by changing Section 55 as follows:

(415 ILCS 97/55)

(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027)

Sec. 55. Repealer. This Act is repealed on January 1, 2022 2027.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
