AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2601

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2601 on page 1, line
38, by replacing "an apparent life-threatening" with "a brief
4resolved unexplained"; and
 
5on page 1, line 11, by replacing "an apparent life-threatening"
6with "a brief resolved unexplained"; and
 
7on page 1, line 13, after "(1)" by inserting the following:
8"offer to"; and
 
9on page 2, by replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:
10    ""Brief resolved unexplained event" means an episode that
11occurs to a well-appearing infant up to 12 months old who
12experiences an event that lasts less than a minute and then
13resolves itself during which the infant exhibits one or more of
14the following symptoms: blue or pale complexion, absent or
15irregular breathing, marked change in muscle tone, and altered
