| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Orland Eugene "Gene" Rubemeyer, who | 4 | | passed away on October 25, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was born in Alton to Earl | 6 | | Rubemeyer and Lorene (Buttrey) Cauley on August 10, 1942; he | 7 | | married Cathy Bellm in Carlinville on March 14, 1987; and | 8 | | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer served as a Lieutenant for the | 9 | | Macoupin County Sheriff's Department and the State of Illinois; | 10 | | and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was a member of the Knights of | 12 | | Columbus where he served on the Honor Guard; he was also a | 13 | | member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville; | 14 | | and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents and one sister, Toni Schmitz; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer is survived by his wife, Cathy; | 18 | | his children, Jerry (Lois) Rubemeyer, Teri (Ron) Archibald, | 19 | | Beth (Dan) Mathis, Lori (Kyle) Witte, Craig (Melanie) | 20 | | Rubemeyer; his grandchildren, Patricia (Adam) Newell, Jerry |
