AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1490

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1490 as follows:
 
3on page 7, by replacing line 2 as follows:
4"application file, license file, or registration file as
5maintained by the"; and
 
6on page 7, line 23, after "branches.", by inserting the
7following:
8"One member of the Board shall be a member of the mixed martial
9arts community licensed or registered with the Department under
10this Act."; and
 
11on page 9, by replacing lines 14 through 18 with the following:
12        "(4) Amateur martial arts contests that are not defined
13    as full-contact martial arts contests under this Act.
14        (5) Full-contact martial arts contests, as defined by
15    this Act, that are recognized by the International Olympic

1    Committee or are contested in the Olympic Games and are not
2    conducted in an enclosed fighting area or ring."; and
 
3on page 12, line 25, after "competing", by inserting "subject
4to Department approval"; and
 
5on page 13, line 13, after "deductible", by inserting "in
6excess of $500"; and
 
7on page 19, by replacing lines 7 through 18 with the following:
8"boxing or full-contact martial arts, (3) pay the required fee
9and meet any other requirements as established by rule provide
10proof of a surety bond of no less than $5,000 to cover
11financial obligations pursuant to this Act, payable to the
12Department and conditioned for the payment of the tax imposed
13by this Act and compliance with this Act and the rules
14promulgated Act and compliance with this Act and the rules
15promulgated pursuant to this Act, and (4) in addition to the
16foregoing, an applicant for licensure as a promoter of
17professional contests or a combination of both professional and
18amateur bouts in one contest shall also provide (i) proof of a
19surety bond of no less than $5,000 to cover financial
20obligations under this Act, payable to the Department and
21conditioned for the payment of the tax imposed by this Act and
22compliance with this Act, and the rules adopted under this Act,
23and (ii) provide a financial statement, prepared by a certified

1public accountant, showing liquid working capital of $10,000 or
2more, or a $10,000 performance bond guaranteeing payment of all
3obligations relating to the promotional activities, and (5) pay
4the required fee and meet any other requirements as determined
5by rule."; and
 
6on page 22, line 16, by replacing "2 EMT-Ps" with "at least one
7EMT and one EMT-P"; and
 
8by deleting line 18 on page 26 through line 2 on page 27.
