AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3336

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3336, AS AMENDED, by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Fire Protection District Act is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:

(70 ILCS 705/7) (from Ch. 127 1/2, par. 27)

Sec. 7. Posting and publication of ordinances. All ordinances imposing any penalty or making any appropriations shall, within one month after they are passed, be (i) posted electronically on the fire protection district's website in a manner that is accessible to the general public and posted in at least one public place within the fire protection district or (ii) published at least once in a newspaper published in said district, or if no such newspaper of general circulation is published therein, then either by one publication in any newspaper of general circulation within said territory or by posting copies of the same in ten public places in the district. No ; and no such ordinance shall take effect until ten days after it is so published or posted, and all other ordinances and resolutions shall take effect from and after their passage unless otherwise provided therein.
