 1        AN ACT in relation to alcoholic liquor.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended  by
 5    adding Section 3-4.1 as follows:

 6        (235 ILCS 5/3-4.1 new)
 7        Sec.   3-4.1.   Executive  Director.   Beginning  on  the
 8    effective date of this amendatory Act  of  the  93rd  General
 9    Assembly,  the  Executive  Director  of  the State Commission
10    shall be a person appointed by the Governor with  the  advice
11    and  consent  of  the  Senate.   The  person  serving  as the
12    Executive Director of the State Commission shall continue  to
13    serve until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.

14        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
15    becoming law.
