AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 976

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 976, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 1, on page 3, immediately below line 15, by inserting the following:

"(2.5) Any fiscal note filed by the Department, the State Superintendent of Education, or the Illinois Community College Board under this Section stating that a bill or an amendment to a bill is a State Mandate, local government organization and structure mandate, due process mandate, service mandate, tax exemption mandate, or personnel mandate under Section 3 of this Act shall not be binding or authoritative or have any persuasive value whatsoever in any evaluation, review, or proceeding regarding whether a claim for reimbursement based on a mandate addressed in the fiscal note is a reimbursable mandate under this Section."; and

on page 4, line 17, by replacing "notify" with " respond to"; and

on page 4, line 18, by deleting "of its determination"; and

on page 4, line 22, by replacing "notify each local government of its determination" with "respond to each local government"; and

on page 4, line 23, by replacing "notify" with "respond to".
