SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ray A. Moore of McHenry, who passed away on January 4, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Ray Moore was born on May 30, 1928 in Chicago to Dale and Greta (nee Bolander) Moore; he married Marjorie S. Zander on October 20, 1949 in Chicago; he served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II and was later drafted into the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Ray Moore worked as a mechanic for over 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Ray Moore enjoyed snowmobiling, boating on the Chain-O-Lakes, and woodworking; and

WHEREAS, Ray Moore was preceded in death by his son, Scott and by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Ray Moore is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie; his daughter, Debra (Frank) Russell; his grandchildren, Michael Moore and Nicole Moore; and his great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ray A. Moore, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ray Moore as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
