SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ray A. Moore of McHenry, who passed away
4on January 4, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Moore was born on May 30, 1928 in Chicago to
6Dale and Greta (nee Bolander) Moore; he married Marjorie S.
7Zander on October 20, 1949 in Chicago; he served in the United
8States Merchant Marine during World War II and was later
9drafted into the United States Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ray Moore worked as a mechanic for over 30 years;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ray Moore enjoyed snowmobiling, boating on the
13Chain-O-Lakes, and woodworking; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ray Moore was preceded in death by his son, Scott
15and by his parents; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ray Moore is survived by his wife of 64 years,
17Marjorie; his daughter, Debra (Frank) Russell; his
18grandchildren, Michael Moore and Nicole Moore; and his
19great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Ray A. Moore, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Ray Moore as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
