SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth J. Weaver of Aurora, who passed away on March 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was born on December 13, 1922, in Herrick to Earl and Addie (Beck) Weaver; he married Esther Ehrhart on April 12, 1947, in Naperville; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver served in the European Theater during World War II as a military police officer and was most proud of having protected General Eisenhower and the American Embassy in London; after the war, he worked for many years and retired from Leath Furniture; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel church, where he served as an usher and a member of the Holy Name Society; he was involved with the Friendly Center and volunteered at the Aurora Police Department; he was a life member of VFW Post 7452 and the Roosevelt-Aurora Post 84; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; his parents; his brother, Lloyd; and his sister, Alma; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver is survived by his sons, Raymond (Bette) Weaver and Dennis (Dee) Weaver; his daughter, Linda (Sonny) Young; his grandchildren, David, Christopher (Jenny), Brian (Annie), Jackie and Zachary Weaver, Michelle (Jonathan) Schon, Alfie Meister, Katie (Armando) Llamas, Alyssa (Levi) Tinder; his great-grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Weaver, Stella and Felicity Meister, and Isaac and Dominic Llamas; his brothers, Glenn (Ruby), John (the late Mary), and Eugene (Marilyn) Weaver; his sisters, Pauline (Frank) O'Connor, Alice (the late Paul) Trueblood, Mary (Don) Hadden; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth Weaver, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Weaver as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
