SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth J. Weaver of Aurora, who passed
4away on March 11, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was born on December 13, 1922, in
6Herrick to Earl and Addie (Beck) Weaver; he married Esther
7Ehrhart on April 12, 1947, in Naperville; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver served in the European Theater
9during World War II as a military police officer and was most
10proud of having protected General Eisenhower and the American
11Embassy in London; after the war, he worked for many years and
12retired from Leath Furniture; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was a member of Our Lady of Good
14Counsel church, where he served as an usher and a member of the
15Holy Name Society; he was involved with the Friendly Center and
16volunteered at the Aurora Police Department; he was a life
17member of VFW Post 7452 and the Roosevelt-Aurora Post 84; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver was preceded in death by his wife,
19Esther; his parents; his brother, Lloyd; and his sister, Alma;

1    WHEREAS, Kenneth Weaver is survived by his sons, Raymond
2(Bette) Weaver and Dennis (Dee) Weaver; his daughter, Linda
3(Sonny) Young; his grandchildren, David, Christopher (Jenny),
4Brian (Annie), Jackie and Zachary Weaver, Michelle (Jonathan)
5Schon, Alfie Meister, Katie (Armando) Llamas, Alyssa (Levi)
6Tinder; his great-grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Weaver,
7Stella and Felicity Meister, and Isaac and Dominic Llamas; his
8brothers, Glenn (Ruby), John (the late Mary), and Eugene
9(Marilyn) Weaver; his sisters, Pauline (Frank) O'Connor, Alice
10(the late Paul) Trueblood, Mary (Don) Hadden; and numerous
11nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Kenneth Weaver, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Kenneth Weaver as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
