SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Graham B. Kleckner of Crystal Lake, who passed away on June 10, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was born on March 28, 1930 in Germantown, Pennsylvania to Frank and Musetta (nee Graham) Kleckner; he married Patricia A. Renning on September 1, 1950 in Fairbanks, Alaska; he was a veteran of the United States Army and a 1959 graduate of the University of Minnesota at Duluth with a degree in communications; and

WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner worked as a deejay at several radio stations during the 1950s, including KDAL in Duluth; for 27 years he worked as a sales representatives for Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; he later worked for PlanHold, based in Irvine, California, as Eastern Regional Manager; and

WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was an avid music fan and always supported his children's extracurricular activities, attending as many plays, programs, and sporting events as possible despite his heavy travel schedule; and

WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents; 2 daughters, Kathrin "Kelli" Widener and Jennifer Kay Kleckner; and a son-in-law, Mark Widener; and

WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner is survived by his children, Michael (Doralyn David) Kleckner, Terena Kleckner (Sam Tobias), Christopher Kleckner, Mary (Bob) O'Dell, Martha Hauerwas, Joe (Nancy) Kleckner, and Sarah (Matt) Carzoli; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Becker, Ben and Emma Tobias, Hannah and Lauren Kleckner, and Mia, Charlie, and Juliana Carzoli; his sister, Kay Kleckner; and many cousins and other relatives; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Graham B. Kleckner, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Graham Kleckner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
