SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Graham B. Kleckner of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on June 10, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was born on March 28, 1930 in
6Germantown, Pennsylvania to Frank and Musetta (nee Graham)
7Kleckner; he married Patricia A. Renning on September 1, 1950
8in Fairbanks, Alaska; he was a veteran of the United States
9Army and a 1959 graduate of the University of Minnesota at
10Duluth with a degree in communications; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner worked as a deejay at several
12radio stations during the 1950s, including KDAL in Duluth; for
1327 years he worked as a sales representatives for Hamilton
14Industries in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; he later worked for
15PlanHold, based in Irvine, California, as Eastern Regional
16Manager; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was an avid music fan and always
18supported his children's extracurricular activities, attending
19as many plays, programs, and sporting events as possible
20despite his heavy travel schedule; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner was preceded in death by his wife,

1Patricia; his parents; 2 daughters, Kathrin "Kelli" Widener and
2Jennifer Kay Kleckner; and a son-in-law, Mark Widener; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Graham Kleckner is survived by his children,
4Michael (Doralyn David) Kleckner, Terena Kleckner (Sam
5Tobias), Christopher Kleckner, Mary (Bob) O'Dell, Martha
6Hauerwas, Joe (Nancy) Kleckner, and Sarah (Matt) Carzoli; his
7grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Becker, Ben and Emma Tobias,
8Hannah and Lauren Kleckner, and Mia, Charlie, and Juliana
9Carzoli; his sister, Kay Kleckner; and many cousins and other
10relatives; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Graham B. Kleckner, and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Graham Kleckner as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
