SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard L. "Rich" Goodlick; and

WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick was born in Bloomington to Carl and Bernice (Peterson) Goodlick on December 5, 1934; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Jan Miller at the First United Methodist church in Pekin on July 21, 1961; and

WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick worked for Local 644 as a carpenter for 40 years before retiring in 1996; and

WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick loved traveling with his wife, Jan, and spent winter months in Florida and Arizona and many summers in Alexandria, Minnesota at Jan's parents' cabin on Lake Brophy; he coached Cub Scout softball and Little League Baseball; he was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin; and

WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick was preceded in death by his parents; his infant great-granddaughter, Karlee; his sisters, Donna Alt and Mary Alice Kuntz; and his brother, Larry Goodlick; and

WHEREAS, Rich Goodlick is survived by his wife, Jan; his son, Randy (Pam) Seward; his daughter, Kim (Joe) Martin; his grandchildren, Kyle Seward, Kenzie (Cody) Bachman, Nick (Jessica) Stafford, and Tyler Stafford; eight great-grandchildren; his sisters, Wilma (Ray) Garber and Judy Kumpf; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard L. "Rich" Goodlick and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rich Goodlick as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
