SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald Gene Wahl of Gillespie, who passed away on April 25, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wahl was born to Percy Wahl and Velma Ayers Wahl in Rockbridge on August 18, 1944; he married Linda Kay Neff; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wahl retired after serving as a meat cutter for a grocery store; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wahl enjoyed woodworking and gardening; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wahl was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Wahl; his sister, Elizabeth Wahl; and his son-in-law, Ken Wasylenko; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wahl is survived by his spouse, Linda Wahl; his children, Christie Wasylenko, Tracy (Dustin) Favre, Erin (Steth) Wahl, and Brianne (Matt) Nolan; his grandchildren, Samantha Wasylenko, Taylor (Dylan) Fuda, Tori Gilleland, Colton Wahl, Savannah Linn, Lilly Wahl, Asha Wahl, Kyle Favre, Olivia Favre, and Kinsley Nolan; his great-grandchildren, Brently and Violet; his siblings, Earl Ray (Carol) Wahl, Phyllis (Larry) Brogdon, Stanley (Cathy Jo) Wahl, and Randall (Rhonda) Wahl; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald Gene Wahl and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Wahl as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
