HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Hadley Lake, a seventh grader at St. John the Evangelist School in Carrollton, on placing first in the discus throw at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS, Hadley Lake placed first in the discus throw with a distance of 29.63 meters; and

WHEREAS, Hadley Lake additionally placed seventh in the shot put competition with a distance of 26 feet and 6.25 inches; and

WHEREAS, Hadley Lake also participated in the 4x200m relay, finishing in eighth place with a time of 2 minutes and 3.69 seconds; and

WHEREAS, Hadley Lake was led by Coach Kara Albrecht; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Hadley Lake on her accomplishments at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th Grade Girls State Track and Field Meet, and we wish her continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Hadley Lake as an expression of our esteem and respect.
