SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

220 ILCS 5/4-606 new

Amends the Public Utilities Act. Requires the Illinois Commerce Commission to adopt rules to allow a land owner to request to have an unused electric utility box removed from the land owner's property.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding Section 4-606 as follows:

(220 ILCS 5/4-606 new)

Sec. 4-606. Removal of unused electric utility boxes. The Commission shall adopt rules to allow a land owner to request to have an unused electric utility box removed from the land owner's property.
