SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ralph Edward Allison of Peoria, who passed away on March 26, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was born in Peoria to Edward and Georgia (Smith) Allison on January 21, 1954; he married Linda Selburg in Peoria on September 20, 1975; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was an inspector a Kamatsu for 34 years; he retired in 2009; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Allison hobbies included watching the St. Louis Cardinals and bowling; he was a member of the Greater Peoria Bowling Association, where he received 13 300 game rings; he loved sports, whether it was playing, watching, or coaching; he enjoyed eating steak with his family, eating breakfast, and going to his grandchildren's events; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was admired for his love of his family, especially his grandchildren, for whom he collected rocks, and for his faithfulness to his wife and family; he was a simple man, easy going, and a good listener; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Allison is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Amie (Mike) Melton, Don (Jennifer) Allison, and Ryan (Heather) Allison; his siblings, Caron Boland, Darla Jones, and William Allison; his grandchildren, Jacob Stoffle, McKinley (Daniella) Allison, and Ashley (Ryan) Melton; and his beloved dogs, Rose and Princess; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ralph Edward Allison, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph Allison as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
