SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ralph Edward Allison of Peoria, who
4passed away on March 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was born in Peoria to Edward and
6Georgia (Smith) Allison on January 21, 1954; he married Linda
7Selburg in Peoria on September 20, 1975; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was an inspector a Kamatsu for 34
9years; he retired in 2009; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ralph Allison hobbies included watching the St.
11Louis Cardinals and bowling; he was a member of the Greater
12Peoria Bowling Association, where he received 13 300 game
13rings; he loved sports, whether it was playing, watching, or
14coaching; he enjoyed eating steak with his family, eating
15breakfast, and going to his grandchildren's events; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ralph Allison was admired for his love of his
17family, especially his grandchildren, for whom he collected
18rocks, and for his faithfulness to his wife and family; he was
19a simple man, easy going, and a good listener; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ralph Allison is survived by his wife, Linda; his

1children, Amie (Mike) Melton, Don (Jennifer) Allison, and Ryan
2(Heather) Allison; his siblings, Caron Boland, Darla Jones, and
3William Allison; his grandchildren, Jacob Stoffle, McKinley
4(Daniella) Allison, and Ashley (Ryan) Melton; and his beloved
5dogs, Rose and Princess; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Ralph Edward Allison, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Ralph Allison as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
