SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Linda Weidner of McHenry, who passed away on January 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Linda Weidner married James Weidner on December 9, 1972 at St. Joseph Church in Libertyville; she was a resident of McHenry since 1976; and

WHEREAS, Linda Weidner worked for Wauconda and Grant Townships and retired from Ela Township as a Deputy Assessor; and

WHEREAS, Linda Weidner enjoyed fishing at the McHenry Dam every day during the summer; playing bingo; taking trips to Las Vegas; spending time with her grandchildren; wintering in Arizona with her best friend, Darlene, and husband, Jim; reading; and playing with her dog, Angel; and

WHEREAS, Linda Weidner was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Hammonds; her best friend and cousin, Darlene Michalek; and her father and mother-in-law, Dick and Esther Weidner; and

WHEREAS, Linda Weidner is survived by her husband of 42 years, James; her children, Kelly (Todd) Dzike, Keri (Mike) Pohl, and Sean Weidner; her grandchildren, Alex, Shelby, Jack, and Evan; her father, William Hammonds; her brother, William (Pat) Hammonds; her brothers-in-law, Ron (the late Doris) Weidner, Reverend Larry Weidner, and Robert Weidner; her sister-in-law, Janet (Erich) Schmidbauer; and her nieces and nephews, Matthew, Katie, Sarahbeth, Daniel, and Billy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Linda Weidner, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Weidner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
