SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Inez Evelyn Knaack of Harvard, who passed away on December 14, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Inez Knaack was born on November 7, 1916 in rural Harvard to Nels and Elina (nee Johansson) Blank; she married Harold E. Knaack, Sr. on March 27, 1936 in Algonquin; and

WHEREAS, Inez Knaack was employed with the Admiral Corporation in Harvard in early 1950's; and

WHEREAS, Inez Knaack was active with Trinity Lutheran Church; she enjoyed trips to northern Wisconsin, crocheting, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Inez Knaack was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; her sister; and her husband, Harold; and

WHEREAS, Inez Knaack is survived by her sons, Harold (Margo) Knaack, Jr. and Gerald (Maria) Knaack; her grandchildren, Deanna (Dale) Schmidt, Christine (Dale) Hasty, and Jeff (Jessica) Knaack; her step-children, Angela Fischer, Jacob (Kari) Faber, and Allison Nowak; her great-grandchildren, Adam, Zoe, Owen, and Robert Hasty and Chloe and Madison Knaack; and her step-great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Fischer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Inez Evelyn Knaack, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Inez Knaack as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
