SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dolores S. Belohlavy of McHenry, who passed away on December 23, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Belohlavy was born on April 11, 1925 in Chicago to Ralph and Teresa (nee Gleason) Waldo; she married Glen Belohlavy on September 27, 1947 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Belohlavy volunteered at Alden Terrace of McHenry Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for more than 20 years; she also volunteered at St. Patrick's Church in many capacities and helped with Meals on Wheels for a number of years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Belohlavy was a member of St. Patrick's Ladies Guild and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary for more than 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Belohlavy was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents; her son, Scott Belohlavy; her grandsons, Eric and Jacob Belohlavy; her brother, Ed Waldo; and her sister, Carol Holden; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Belohlavy is survived by her son, Doug (Mary Ann) Belohlavy; her grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Amy, Emily, and Joe Belohlavy and Jennifer (Patrick) Garrity; her great-grandchildren, Lane and Reid Belohlavy, Asher and Lennon Cann, and Jessica, Patrick, Keely, and Haley Garrity; and her brother, Bob (Dolly) Waldo; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dolores S. Belohlavy, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dolores Belohlavy as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
