SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Herman W. "Hershey" Krueger of Johnsburg, who passed away on November 3, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was born on October 11, 1925 in Chicago; his parents were Walter and Helen (nee Babczak) Krueger; he married Dolores Knasiak on October 19, 1946 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II; during the war, he was stationed in the South Pacific on PT Boats 7 and 16; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger attended Washburn Trade School for 2 years; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was employed with the Wrigley Chewing Gum Company in Chicago for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was a member of the Bridgeport Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3079, the McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600, and the McHenry Moose Lodge 691; he was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2428 and a 4th Degree Knight of the Arch Bishop Quincy Assembly; he was also a member of the St. John Baptist Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores; and

WHEREAS, Herman Krueger is survived by his children, Dennis (Karen) Krueger, Kenneth (Ana) Krueger, Alan (Brian) Krueger, and Wayne Krueger; his grandchildren, Michelle Krueger, Brian (Lisa) Krueger, Jeff Krueger, and Christopher (Krissy) Krueger; his great-grandchildren, Jessie, Tyler, Chloe, and Rylan; his sisters, Sister Agusta Krueger, Helen (the late Frank) Lucas, and Lucille (the late Stanley) Lesniuski; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy (the late Mickey) Krueger; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Herman W. "Hershey" Krueger; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Herman Krueger as an expression of our sympathy.
